In our final episode with Dr. Livengood (we can’t believe how fast 7 episodes flew by!), we talk about something we are personally obsessed with here on the Artisan team: essential oils (EOs) and the byproduct of that, plant medicine. Essential oils are plants, as you know, but just in a highly concentrated form, and their uses are millions. Literally, oils are a concentrated extraction of plants, which do different things depending on what you need and have been around for a really long time!

In today’s episode, we talk about aroma vs. therapeutic-grade EOs, carrier oils for dilution, processed vs. organic, and the overall health benefits of EOs. Everything from headaches to muscle soreness to colds to immunity to cleaning your home to shampoo to … and the list goes on. We cover it all. Bonus! Dr. Livengood offers what is known as a Rain Drop Therapy program in her office, and it’s literally the best! A super relaxing treatment, utilizing 8-9 EOs which help the immune system fight off germs, this therapy also causes the muscles to relax and calm, and everything is specific to the spinal column and nervous system (using a reflexology system).
